1. Sergeant Peter1 Yost died 1781 in Barnstable County, Massachusetts. He married Mary Smith March 20, 1773 in Sandwich, Barnstable County, before the Reverend Abraham Williams. She was born July 25, 1755, and died October 14, 1836.

Where he came from is not known. He did not enter Massachusetts by sea for no Yosts are recorded as immigrating into the state during this period. He was "of" Barnstable, Massachusetts, and may have died there.
