He died 31 July 1926, age 66, of a cerebral hemorrhage, at Port Washington, and he is
buried in St. Mary’s Cemetery there. See Ozaukee County death certificates, v. 8, no.

He married Susan Kartheiser 16 April 1885 at ________________ Church, ___________, Town of
___________, ___________ County. Reverend ______________ presided. Witnesses were
______________ and _____________. The marriage is recorded in the marriage register of the
church. There is no record of their marriage in Ozaukee County marriage records.
She was born 9 December 1858 at Flat Rock, Wayne County, Michigan, the daughter of
Nicholas and Katherine (Glaesner) Kartheiser. Her birth is recorded in Wayne County birth
records, v. ___, no. _____. She died 6 April 1948, age 89, of chronic myocarditis, at St.
Alphonsus Hospital at Port Washington. The funeral was held 9 April 1948 at St. Mary's
Roman Catholic Church at Port Washington, and she is buried in St. Mary’s Cemetery
